OEM Controls honors our late Deb Simons by doing ur part to raise money toward Relay for Life. Team Deb Simons did an amazing job and raised over $24,000 for the American Cancer Society. We want to send a huge thank you to everyone for your donations.
For anyone who doesn't know, Relay for Life is an organization that hosts multiple events throughout the year in which money is raised for the American Cancer Society. At the events you are able to honor, remember, and reflect on the lives of loved ones lost to cancer. A celebratory walk takes place in honor of those loved ones as well as in support of caregivers. Games and activities take place on the day of as well as an evening Luminaria lighting representing the
light in the darkness and allows everyone to see that you are not alone and are surrounded by a support system of other individuals who have gone through the same loss and struggles. It really is a privilege to be able to support those in out community going through this as well as donate on behalf of our own that we lost too soon.
The Relay for Life event last June was a huge success! An extra special thanks goes to Keith and Karen Amato, Walt and Evelyn Veillette, and Ken Frost for being at the event as well as Lisa and Paul Rohaly, Rohaly, and Matthew Feidt for being on the team.
With OEM Controls and many friends, Team Deb Simons was by far the biggest winner in terms of participation and donations. The money we raised helps fund breakthrough cancer research, free rides to chemo, free places to stay near hospitals, and a live 24/7 helpline for answers and support. Bottom line we couldn’t have done it without you!
