OEM Controls Welcomed the AEM Manufacturing Express

On September 3^rd, OEM Controls was proud to welcome the AEM Manufacturing Express to our Shelton, Connecticut headquarters as part of its nationwide tour celebrating the people and companies behind America’s equipment manufacturing industry.

OEM Controls was selected as a stop on the 2026 tour, giving us an opportunity to share what we do, recognize the people behind our products, and celebrate 60 years of engineering and manufacturing in Connecticut.

Built in Shelton. Working Around the World.

Walk through the OEM Controls facility and you’ll see industrial joysticks, custom handles, electronic modules, control systems, and other technologies at different stages of development and production.

But what ultimately leaves Shelton is more than a component.

Our controls become part of the machines people depend on to build infrastructure, maintain utilities, move materials, harvest resources, and perform demanding work in some of the toughest operating environments.

That’s one reason the mission behind the AEM Manufacturing Express resonates so strongly with us. The tour helps connect the equipment people see working in the field with the manufacturers, engineers, technicians, and skilled employees who make that equipment possible.

Being selected as an AEM Manufacturing Express tour stop gave us an opportunity to celebrate our team, share what we do, and recognize the larger role equipment manufacturers play in communities like Shelton, CT and across the country.

We appreciate AEM and the Manufacturing Express team for spending the day with us and, most importantly, we thank the OEM Controls employees who have helped build and sustain this company for 60 years.
