During this decade, there was great socioeconomic change due to the advance in technology and the beginning of globalization. Mr. Simons realized and adapted to the change to help benefit his business and staff. The first plan of action was to move his headquarters from Norwalk, Connecticut to Shelton, Connecticut because of its convenience to major highways, the openness of the city, and most importantly, location, location, location! In addition, his labor force increased to 79 employees and his electronic controllers proved to be the fastest growing product!
